I have been drooling over the iPhone for *years* now. and still I feel a tiny bit guilty to spend so much money on a tech gadget (ok, I have spent the same amount of money for shoes or clothes in the past, so I have a little credibility here).
Anyway, finally I made up my mind and saved some extra money to finally go for it and know what? A guy working in our IT dept. tells me that in a few months the new fancy generation of iPhones is coming out.. so the merry-go-round starts again?!??!!! I tell you guys, I am pathetic!!
corollary: since my mobile broke in *July* I am borrowing mobiles from friends and family, with the end result that I do not dare recording all my address book in there. in other words I spend literally hours in guessing the senders `id of my received text messages (if they are not signed, as usually, since they assume I know who is writing!!) , I told you, *pathetic*. (btw.. I still haven’t guessed who texted me today@ 7.38AM.. and that is not a reasonable hour to text anybody on a Saturday morning!!! – kidding!!!)
PS. my beloved younger cat Minette has undergone surgery yesterday… everything went well and I am so relieved! she is soon going back to the usual hard work..

hello world, how are you? this week is going to be a tough one I can tell.
Besides the usual, on Wednesday I will start teaching a course for Architectural Engineering (Introduction to Computer Science). On Thursday my (younger) cat will undergo surgery.. and I am really freaking out about that. I do not think that people who do not have pets can really grasp the situation .. I just hope everything will turn out just fine *anxiety*.

sooo, the alarm went off at 4.45AM and that was already bad enough, except that the flight was canceled. fine. add a 2 hour drive to MXP, a flight arriving at 2.30PM and a heat shock of +20Celsius (it was around 25 degrees, crazy) and I was about to call it a day at 4pm.
The meeting was really good, from the research viewpoint and it lasted til dinner time.. and then I finally had the chance to try typical greek cuisine. Let me say it is really amazing. the best spinach pita olives salad ever! not to mention some deep fried fillo dough rolls filled with soft goat cheese and topped with honey!!
anyway. I am really falling asleep while writing these lines and I still have to manage to go back to my room (free wifi access but only in the lobby…)
g’nite!
PS there is a Starbucks right next to the hotel. guess what I am having tomorrow morning..
